My derm keeps me on using cream isotretonoin and it has deminished my spots. If your on the fence about this drug, just take the jump.
IF it causes you too many issues you can stop. Have been taking it for 6 months.
Started at 10 mg for first month then moved up to 20 mg for the remaining time till now. Although my dosage is low, I still experience side effects such as dry and cracked lips.
The first 2 months my condition got worse and quite a few big pimples came up and caused more redness and scaring. Each subtype stands as a unique the National Rosacea Society Expert Committee consists of erythematotelangiectatic, papulopustular, phymatous, and ocular subtypes. The current classification system developed by entity among a spectrum, with characteristic symptoms and physical findings, along with an intricate pathophysiology.
It was bad. My skin was perfect 6 months after.
Just a pimple here and there and this was a huge improvement. I had all these crazy side effects but who cares if it meant getting to have my cornrows back and leave out my whole face out.
Sad story.. I am frustrated. Cystic acne all over my forehead. My doctor has prescribed Diane 35..
Am on my third month. A little improvement on my forehead but I have these painful acne on my chin and cheeks. Am losing it. I thought acne wouldn't come back after isotretinoin. Lost tiny hair, severe headaches and lips were so dry, sun burnt easily, but my moods were all over the place.
It's a awful drug but gave me my life back and confidence.
I still got a pimple but stopped after menopause at 45 years old. I still get acne, and I lost all my hair it started to curl, thin and fall out while taking accutane only to result in baldness after a few years, I developed IBS diarrhea which affected quality of life and career progression, my hair follicles shed persistently, etc.
If I had a choice, I would rather go back in time and not take this drug than win the lotto.
Honestly it changed my life!
